Polytechnics To Shut Down As ASUP Tells Members To Join NLC Strike

Information reaching us has it that the Academic Staff Union of Polytechnics (ASUP) has directed her members to join the two-day National Labour Congress strike.

This is just as the Federal Government has urged organised labour ASUU Directs Members To Join Two-Days NLC strike to call off its two-day warning strike scheduled to commence Tuesday nationwide.

Members are already aware of the resolution of the National Executive Council (NEC) meeting of the Nigeria Labor Congress (NLC) which took place on the 31″ of August, 2023.

For the avoidance of doubt, part of the resolutions is that all affiliates of the NLC should withdraw their services for a two-day warning strike effective 5 September, 2023 to protest the rising poverty in the country and the insensitive of the government thereof.

You are therefore directed to comply with the resolutions and ensure that services of our members are withdrawn nationwide on the 5 and 6 of September, 2023.
